COMMUNION

Gather bread and juice and use these guided steps to take communion at home or wherever you are.

  • MEDITATION

Still your heart before God and reflect on four powerful words that are yours through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ: Love. Grace. Mercy. Hope.

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God” (1 Peter 3:18a, NIV).

  • PRAYER

Prepare your heart for Communion through authentic and transparent prayer.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:7, NIV).

  • COMMUNION

Open your heart to the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by remembering His sacrifice. Watch this video and read the Scriptures below while taking Communion.

“And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me’” (Luke 2:19, NIV).

“In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you’” (Luke 2:20, NIV).

  • THANKSGIVING

Take a moment to give thanks and rejoice in your heart before the Lord.

“We give thanks for the cup at the Lord’s Supper. When we do, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? When we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ?” (1 Corinthians 10:16, NIRV).

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice (1 Chronicles 16:10, NIV).
